Other Ways We Fundraise

It truly does take a village to keep our school going and we are fortunate to have a village full of generous people who are willing to donate their time and talents to help make our school run smoothly!  Here is a list of the many ways you can contribute to our school.  Thank you.

  1. Freeport State Bank Golf Classic

    • Typically head during the 3rd or 4th week of July and organized by the Freeport State Bank.  Sacred Heart School Staff and Parents are invited to take part in this fun event that supports the Catholic Schools in our area.
  2. Minnesota Marathon for Non-Public Education

    • Beginning in mid-September, students
  3. SHS 1K/5K Walk/Run

    • Held in conjunction with the Freeport Fall Fest, this event is organized by a committee of parents.  It is a great way to get out and get active to show your support for our community and local businesses.
  4. Catholic United Financial Breakfast and Quilt Raffle

    • Held in early October, this event is planned and organized by the members of Catholic United Financial, Sacred Heart Society and all net-proceeds go directly to Sacred Heart School.  Families are encouraged to sell tickets and participate in this event.
  5. Rummage/Soup Sale

    • Held in mid November each year.  Parents are asked to work in the kitchen or work the sale over the weekend.
  6. Magazine Sale

    • While this fundraiser is held mid-November through Thanksgiving, magazines can be purchased online all year long.  Sacred Heart School receives a donation equivalent to 40% of the subscription prices.  Families are encouraged to ask people to renew the magazines they are presently getting.  For more information, or to order, visit: Great American 
  7. Johnny Holm Fundraiser

    • Each year on the Friday after Thanksgiving, The Friends of Sacred Heart coordinate this fun evening of music and dancing.  Families are encouraged to sell tickets and help where needed.  All net proceeds benefit the Technology and Curriculum fund at Sacred Heart School.
  8. Prime & Wine

    • This is the signature event for Sacred Heart School and we rely on our community and families to help make this fundraiser a success.  A dinner committee and an auction committee are formed to help coordinate this fun filled evening that always draws a wonderful crowd.
  9. Catholic United Financial Raffle for Catholic Schools

    • Organized completely and paid for by Catholic United Financial and all proceeds benefit the school directly.  Parents are asked to sell a minimum amount of tickets.
  10. Meat Raffle

    • This “fun”raiser is co-sponsored by the Freeport Lions and is a very easy way to help SHS earn money.  Parents are needed to sell raffle tickets the last Saturday each month.
  11. Loot for Learning

    • Loot for Learning is Sacred Hear School’s SCRIP program and it allows the school to make money for your everyday purchases.  We have a number of local business participating as well as many national merchants.  For each card you purchase, Sacred Heart receives a percentage and it can add up very quickly.
  12. Box Tops and Labels for Education

  13. Terracycle

    • Selected wasted items are collected at school and a parent volunteer sorts and sends items in to earn cash for Sacred Heart School.  For a list of accepted items CLICK HERE  **As of 9/15/2015 Diaper items are not being accepted.
  14. Shoparoo

    • Shop, Snap and Earn…it is really that easy.  Using the Shoparoo app, snap pictures of your receipts and earn points for your school.  The points turn into dollars for Sacred Heart.  To get information visit www.shoparoo.com You can earn extra points by using the using the school referral code suft5418
